What's in these terms?

These terms tell you the rules for using our website www.placeltd.co.uk (“our site/website”).

By purchasing a ticket, you agree for your details to be shared with the event organisers who may in turn contact you directly.

www.placeltd.co.uk is a site operated by PLACE LONDON LIMITED (“PLACE”, “We”, “Us”). We are registered in England and Wales under company number 15474148 and have our registered office at 19a Artillery Road, Guildford, GU1 4NW.

Our main trading address is 14 Andersens Wharf, 20 Copenhagen Place, Limehouse, E14 7DX.

PLACE is a ticketing platform for on-the-ground cultural events across all of London.

By using our site, you confirm that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to comply with them. You cannot use our site if you do not agree to these Terms of Use and Privacy Policy (which is incorporated into these Terms of Use by this reference).

You must be over 18 to access and use the website, including purchasing tickets for events via our website. If you are under 18 then you must obtain the permission of your parent or guardian to access and use the site.

General Services Description

These Terms of Use outline your access to our site and the services we provide.

  • We list events and facilitate purchasing tickets for these events. These tickets are offered on behalf of third party Event Organisers (Organisers).
  • PLACE is not the creator, owner or organiser of any of the events listed on the site except where explicitly stated.
  • The Organisers are responsible to you for the events listed in their name(s). We are not responsible or liable for said events or for any actions or inactions of the Organisers.
  • Any information regarding specific events should be obtained from the Organisers directly.

For full access to the site, and to purchase tickets you must register an account with us. We collect data on accounts created, and general usage of the site including personal data. We only collect and use said data in accordance with, and for the purposes outlined in our Privacy Policy.

Details on Purchase of Event Tickets

Any ticket obtained via purchase or otherwise via the site is subject to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

We display tickets for purchase on our site that have been made available by and/or listed on behalf of, third party Event Organisers. We are not responsible for the availability or price of tickets made available for purchase on the site.

Details for the event have been provided by or taken from resources owned by the Organisers.

Tickets purchased via the website provide you with access to the named event. By pressing ‘BOOK NOW’ you make an offer to purchase a ticket via the website. When you purchase a ticket via the site you agree to the following:

  • Redirection to a third party website to enter payment details for ticket purchase. These third party sites are not owned or operated by PLACE.
  • You will receive email confirmations from third party Organisers or their respective payment pages.

By purchasing a ticket via the website, admission to events must be in line with specifications of the Organisers. These will be detailed in the event description. Admission is at the discretion of the Organisers.

Cancellations and Changes

PLACE does not authorise or action refunds for tickets purchased via the website. All refund requests must be placed with the Organisers directly.

Changes to event details are made by the Organisers, including the cost of the event tickets. PLACE does not control these changes.

Events recorded for commercial/promotional purposes

We reserve the right to obtain and utilise these audio/video visual material directly from the Organisers for commercial/promotional use on our site.

Only those who are party to these Terms of Use have any right to enforce them.

Liability

These Terms of Use will override any other rights granted by law, unless this is not permitted by law.

Although we make reasonable efforts to update the information on our site, we make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on our site is accurate, complete or up to date.

This website may include information and materials provided by or taken from Organisers, including links to social media pages, video-sharing sites, bulletin boards and chat rooms. This information and these materials are not owned and have not been verified or approved by us.

Regarding any public chat, comment or other facilities or any descriptions that have been utilised by us on behalf of Organisers:

  • The views expressed by other users on our site do not represent our views or values.
  • Where our site contains links to other sites and resources provided by third parties, these links are provided for your information only. Such links should not be interpreted as approval by us of those linked websites or information you may obtain from them. We have no control over the contents of those sites or resources.

User Conduct

By using the site, you agree that you will not use it for any purposes prohibited by these Terms of Use. You also agree to use the site only for personal use.

You will only be able to purchase tickets via the site by registering an account by providing your first name, last name and email address.

You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access our site through your internet connection are aware of these terms of use and other applicable terms and conditions, and that they comply with them.

PLACE reserves the right to withdraw any user for breaching these Terms of Use.

Changes to Terms and Website

We amend these terms from time to time. Every time you wish to use our site, please check these terms to ensure you understand the terms that apply at that time. These terms were most recently updated on 29 February 2024.

We may update and change our site from time to time to add or remove events available, to reflect changes to our users' needs and our business priorities or to carry out any maintenance or upgrades to current functionality.

We do not guarantee that our site, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. We may suspend or withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of our site for business and operational reasons. We will try to give you reasonable notice of any suspension or withdrawal.

Site Access

We do not represent that content available on or through our site is appropriate for use or available in locations other than the United Kingdom.

Marketing Communications

By purchasing a ticket on our site, you consent to being signed up to receive marketing communications from PLACE, including newsletters, event updates, and promotional offers. You can unsubscribe from these communications at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link provided in the emails or by contacting us at info@placeltd.co.uk.

No text or data mining, or web scraping

You shall not conduct, facilitate, authorise or permit any text or data mining or web scraping in relation to our site or any services provided via, or in relation to, our site. This includes using (or permitting, authorising or attempting the use of):

  • Any “robot”, “bot”, “spider”, “scraper” or other automated device, program, tool, algorithm, code, process or methodology to access, obtain, copy, monitor or republish any portion of the site or any data, content, information or services accessed via the same.
  • Any automated analytical technique aimed at analysing text and data in digital form to generate information which includes but is not limited to patterns, trends and correlations.

The provisions in this clause should be treated as an express reservation of our rights in this regard, including for the purposes of Article 4(3) of Digital Copyright Directive ((EU) 2019/790).

This clause shall not apply insofar as (but only to the extent that) we are unable to exclude or limit text or data mining or web scraping activity by contract under the laws which are applicable to us.

You must keep your account details safe

If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential. You must not disclose it to any third party.

We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms of use.

We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our site, and in the material published on it. Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.

You are not permitted to use them without our approval.

We are not responsible for viruses and you must not introduce them

We do not guarantee that our site will be secure or free from bugs or viruses.

You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programmes and platform to access our site. You should use your own virus protection software.

You must not misuse our site by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our site, the server on which our site is stored or any server, computer or database connected to our site. You must not attack our site via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of-service attack. By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will cooperate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use our site will cease immediately.
